Voices of Harmony presents our 7th annual Spring Sing. We welcome you to enjoy our full repertoire and join us after the concert for a reception with free light snacks and great conversation! Our repertoire is an eclectic mix from home and abroad that touches us all, and embraces our identities.

WHEN: Thursday May 4th, 7:30pm
WHERE: Josephine A Fiorentino Community Center, 123 Antwerp Street Extension, Brighton, MA 02135

Parking: Free parking is available on Western Avenue, Antwerp Street Extension and nearby side streets (Justinian Way, Gould Street, Litchfield Street, etc.)

Introductory Meeting: Inviting new members!

Voices of Harmony will be inviting new members to join us at the beginning of our next season on Tuesday, September 13th! This event is FREE, and food and drink will be served!

Who: Everyone in the Boston-area who’s interested in strengthening our diverse community through music and cross-cultural dialogue

What: After enjoying a light dinner together, we’ll learn a song, and get to know each other through a facilitated dialogue.

We welcome anyone interested in joining our musical community, which is dedicated to celebrating diversity and promoting unity through music and cross-cultural dialogue. We welcome people of all genders, all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, and all levels of singing experience! Join us if you love to sing and want to learn!

Songs of Freedom Concert

Voices of Harmony presents Songs of Freedom, a musical experience shared from our hearts and souls, through eclectic music that touches us all, and embraces our identities, transcending labels of age, gender and race.

Join us for a performance of songs about Freedom from a wide variety of musical styles from home and abroad. We also invite you to stay with us after the concert for a reception with free light snacks, a dry cash bar provided by the Armory staff, and a silent auction!

Calling All Heroes

Calling All Heroes

 

Wind whispers in your ear, a vision of a dream comes, you have battles to face, and you can’t do it alone. Take a journey with us to explore the many shades of heroism and music. Maybe learn the ways that we too can conquer the ills of the world!

On June 1st, join Voices of Harmony for a celebration of all shades of heroes – from every day heroes like parents and friends to legendary leaders like Harriet Tubman and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We will perform a wide variety of musical styles from home and abroad. At Calling All Heroes, you will enjoy a repertoire including music from the Kwaya music tradition of Tanzania, adaptations of songs by U2 and FUN, as well as an original arrangement of David Bowie’s Heroes.

*Also featuring* Free Light Snacks! Dry Cash Bar provided by Armory Cafe! Silent Auction! Fun Photobooth by donation!

To walk from Roxbury Crossing, follow these 3 easy steps: Turn right onto Tremont St, turn right onto Columbus Ave, walk one long block, turn left onto Cedar St, walk up the hill three blocks then turn left onto Lambert Ave. 88 Lambert Ave will be on your right.

Voices of Harmony presents: Stories in Harmony, a musical experience shared from our hearts and souls, through eclectic music that touches us all, and embraces our identities, transcending labels of age, gender and race.

When: Saturday, June 29 at 4pm. The concert will be followed by a reception with refreshments

Where: First Church in Charlestown, 10 Green Street, Charlestown, 02129 (A quarter-mile walk from Community College station on the Orange Line. Street parking is limited, so public transportation is advised. If you must drive, please carpool.)

Suggested minimum donation: $10 per person

The mission of Voices of Harmony is to build community through music and cross-cultural dialogue. Our members come from different backgrounds and different neighborhoods in the Boston area. We meet once a week to sing together and to engage in meaningful conversations about culture, race, gender, and other issues of diversity.
