About

Voices of Harmony is a group of people committed to building a better community through music and dialogue.

We have finished our introductory meetings for the season, but contact us to see if there is another week you could visit!

Voices of Harmony meets once a week to sing together and to discuss issues of diversity. We sing music from cultures around the world.  And we engage in dialogues about race, gender, identity, and other social justice issues.

Each week, after a light meal together we either focus on learning and rehearsing songs from the rich repertoire of world music, or we spend time getting to know each other and ourselves through facilitated conversations about race, culture, and diversity in Boston.

Our mission is to celebrate diversity and promote cross-cultural understanding through performing world music and engaging in cross-cultural dialogue.

We love to perform at community events, farmers markets, homeless shelters, nursing homes, or with a surprise flashmob! Are you planning a community event? We’d love to join in and add some music. Check out videos of our previous performances at http://www.youtube.com/user/voicesharmonyboston

Let your voice be heard! Come lift your voice in song, and express your unique perspective in a respectful, caring community. We welcome everyone who loves to sing and wants to learn – no singing experience necessary.

Interested in joining? Please keep your eyes peeled for an Introductory Meeting announcement. (You can check our Announcements Page or sign up to join our email list, with the link to the right of this article.) And if you just can’t wait for an Intro Meeting, contact us to see if there’s another week you can visit.
